All of these registers have fully adjustable acrylic dampers. The benefit of acrylic over metal dampers is that they won’t bend, rattle or rust. For convenience and appearance, the lever is tucked in on the end to maintain the aesthetics of the Victorian design.

With the lever, you can open and close the vent, and even control the direction of airflow. This makes it easy to circulate air throughout the house to specific rooms, or maintain the temperature in a room manually.
